How to upgrade to Marshmallow and Android 7: Install the latest update on your deviceFirst of all, head over to Google Play to download the latest Marshmallow update from the Play Store, which should be available today.
It’ll bring with it a few new features and some bug fixes.2.
How the Android 7 upgrade worksThis is where things get a little confusing.
You’ll need to restart your device to apply the update.
To do so, head to Settings>System, and then tap on Update Now.3.
How much will it costIf you don’t want to wait to get a full refund on your purchase, you’ll need a new Nexus device, and Google is offering a full $50 credit towards the cost of your device.
If you already own a Nexus device (or want to get rid of it), you’ll be able to save $50 on your upgrade by entering your email address when you activate the credit.4.
What to do if your Nexus device is already running MarshmallowYou can also try the Android Marshmallow upgrade with a Nexus 7, or a Nexus 5X, or any Android smartphone.
Once you’ve upgraded, you can wipe your device clean, then install Android 7 on it.5.
What you need for a successful Android 7 updateThe Marshmallow system update is only available for the US and the UK, but it’ll be available for all other markets by the end of the year.

The Marshmallows update will only work on your Nexus smartphone or tablet if it’s running Android Marshmaul 7, so you’ll want to update as soon as possible.

When will the Marshmallow Android 7 install be available in the Google Play Store?
Marshmallow will be available to download in the Android Play Store from the end, on June 19.
That’s the same day Google is releasing the update for all of the major markets, including the US.
It should be a little quicker to download and install the update in some markets, but not others.8.
What should I do if I already have an Android 7 device and have yet to upgrade?
The process to upgrade from Marshmallow will work the same as it does now, and the Nexus 5x should work out of the box.

What’s the difference between Marshmallow 7 and Marshmallow 6?
The biggest difference between the Marshmobiles Android 7 and 6 upgrades is the addition of a new “system update” feature.
You can now opt for a “system install” option to upgrade without having to restart or wipe your phone.
That feature, called “System Update”, will let you download the update as a “package”, which you can install onto your device with a single tap.
If the update is installed, it’ll download the app and all of its settings from Google Play and install them on your smartphone, without needing to reboot or restart the device.
